Challenge

For almost 20 years, George P. Johnson Australia have been a trusted and exclusive partner to the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA), each year delivering a portfolio of Awards and Gala Dinner programs that includes the APRA Music Awards, Art Music Awards and Screen Music Awards. This unique relationship has afforded GPJA the opportunity to be at the forefront of Australia’s emerging and diverse music industry, delivering experiences that have ultimately become a launch platform for celebrated artists such as Gotye, Sia and Matt Corby to name just a few.

In 2016 GPJA once more partnered with APRA to deliver the Music Awards; the premiere event on the APRA calendar and a night that demands outstanding delivery on all fronts; programming, creativity, production, technical, décor, hospitality and experience. It’s a night of nights for the industry and GPJ are always on hand to raise the bar year after year.

Solution

Held annually between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, this outstanding evening was brought to life within the Carriageworks Precinct in historic Eveleigh. With a who’s who of the Australian Music Scene in attendance and hosted by the legendary Brian Nankervis of RockWiz fame; the night came to life with performances from Guy Sebastian, The Delta Riggs, San Cisco and closing out the evening, a spectacular tribute to Cold Chisel from The Living End performing Khe Sanh.

Results

GPJA conceived, created, planned, prepared and delivered an outstanding evening of music, entertainment and jubilation! With an audience of over 600 on their feet, dancing, clapping and cheering for their peers, their colleagues and for the achievements of the industry at large. It was a night to remember for all in attendance and one born from a relationship that GPJA celebrate’s now and plans to continue celebrating long into the future.
