IBM Watson Summit Australia & New Zealand

Issue:

With so much disruption and transformation in every industry, today’s business leaders are concerned that they aren’t being kept up-to-date with the latest developments. Furthermore, they are asking what technologies and services can support them in their business transformation, and how they can be architects of disruption.

Insight:

Technology has already changed the world: the way people live, the power customers have, and how businesses operate. The pace of innovation can be dizzying and the next wave of technologies is poised to remake industries and customer experiences. Innovations such as artificial intelligence and data insights will reshape how businesses operate and interact with their customers.

Idea:

The idea was to transform the customer experience and deliver a disruptive and engaging activation which demonstrated these breakthrough technologies at every touch point. These included:

IBM Live Mobile App – enabling attendees to become part of the conversation, event experience and on-the-ground brand advocates of event content.
Registration – using Alliance Tech registration system, delegates are greeted at reception and provided with a QR Badge and Lanyard.
Innovation Studio – a studio of activation which showed clients how to take advantage of new and emerging technologies, breaking down the barriers and architect the disruption for their role, department, business and industry.
Developer session – an in depth, unseen insight of the data used in each case study showcased in the keynote.
Lead management journey – An end-to-end lead management journey that encompasses all points in which the clients will have interactions (pre, during and post event) and provide a tailored campaign.

Implementation:

The Watson Summit roadshow took place in Sydney 25th July, Melbourne 27th July and Auckland 16th August.

The agenda was tailored to IBM’s industries, targeting Developers, CISO’s, CIO’s and IT Managers. The main agenda included a keynote and three separate breakout tracks, as well as an innovation studio consisting of seven activations that complemented the stories IBM wanted to tell.

GPJ created a lead management system where we could track onsite who had attended each of the sessions and had shown interest in learning more about one of the services or solutions showcased at one of the activations. We also created an app which gave the delegates further information about the activations and speakers, with the opportunity to provide feedback on the event.
