Tennis strings took centre stage at the Australian Open.
As the world leaders in tennis string innovation, Yonex - the official racquet stringing partner for the 2018 Australian Open - wanted to educate and inspire tennis fans about the importance of strings on their game during the two-week event.
‘String Performance’, the interactive activation at Melbourne Park, featured a tension meter which emulated the Yonex racquet tension of famous players. The activation celebrated players’ individual style and enabled fans to measure up against famous players, as well as providing plenty of opportunities to win prizes.
The ‘String Performance' activation provided more than 125 hours of entertainment for fans and educated over 20,000 players on the Yonex product range and the science behind the strings. Twitter engagement increased by 444%, giving Yonex a significant share of voice throughout the Australian Open.
